A century for Marjorie

A century for Marjorie

Orbost local, Marjorie West, celebrated her 100th birthday on the weekend.
While she actually turns 100 today, a celebration of Marjorie's 100th birthday was held with family and friends at a gathering in Wy Yung on Saturday, where Marjorie was treated to a trip down memory lane with a display of family photos and memorabilia from her childhood and married life.
Marjorie was also thrilled to receive letters from King Charles and Queen Camila, the Governor General and members of Parliament.
Marjorie moved from Melbourne to Murrungowar near Orbost in 1946 to start her married life with her husband, Wally.
The pair raised six children and were married for 53 years before Wally passed away in 1999.
Marjorie has 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and delights in spending time with them on special occasions.
