Decorate for charity rally

If you happen to have nothing to entertain the kids with on Good Friday, then Glenda McKay is extending a warm welcome for youngsters to come along to Murphy’s Garden Centre and help decorate ornaments for her entry into the Shitbox Rally.
Children aged between four and 10 will be able to paint garden ornaments from 9.30am in the morning until lunchtime, the cost will be $5, and the money will go towards the charity.
Older kids over 10 will be able to decorate the front of the Ford Territory which Glenda will drive in the Shitbox Rally from Adelaide to Perth before she returns across the Nullarbor on her own.
“It’s going to be a muddy trip – they have had a lot of water through the middle especially towards Oodnadatta, but I am sure we’ll be right,” Glenda said.
The Shitbox Rally involves participants driving cars worth no more than $1500 across Australia in the name of charity.
All funds raised from the Shitbox Rally go towards the Cancer Council and help to raise awareness of the disease all while supporting those who are currently suffering or have suffered.
