Coffee is calling in Orbost

When Rachel and Tim Songailo started roasting coffee two years ago, the business quickly grew, and now the couple has opened their own shop front on Nicholson Street, East Gippsland Coffee Roasters.
After opening their store in late 2021, the couple has worked hard to get their business up and running and their passion for coffee and the process behind a good blend has made them a popular business in Orbost.
“We just wanted to try something new, and we really loved it,” Rachel said.
The business has been considerably lucky, having no staffing problems during COVID lockdowns and restrictions, but had some problems with supply.
“Coffee is a volatile world, it can be available one month and then next month it’s gone,” Rachel said.
