Recovery works showing positive signs

There is some good news in terms of bushfire recovery with some restoration work underway across the region.
Work has commenced on the restoration works on the boardwalks at McKenzie River, but recently stopped due to the shutdown of construction industry.
“Hopefully they will be able to recommence in a couple of weeks and it will be open by Christmas,” Orbost Chamber of Commerce secretary, Garry Squires said.
Works have been completed on the viewing platform at the old Youngs Creek Reservoir, while the walking track between the Youngs Creek falls car park and the old Youngs Creek Reservoir is open.
Cabbage Tree Falls picnic area and the toilet block are open and a new viewing platform has been installed above the falls.
