Grade six, done

Last Thursday night, Orbost Primary School celebrated its class of 2019 with a special barbecue dinner for its 30 graduating grade six students, their families also celebrating getting their children through their primary education.

Held in the school hall, the graduation dinner was the second of its kind and it is looking like it may be a new tradition for the school.

The night was largely arranged by the school’s Parents and Friends Committee, which covered everything from decorations, cooking and taking photos to help the students remember their special night.

A slideshow played throughout the night with images of the students from prep through to year six. Grade six teachers, Erin Voss and Imogen Hodson, spoke on each of the students and presented them with gift bags that included their graduation certificates.
